Clanio is a Hebrew-first product built and launching in Israel, subject to Israeli privacy law. Our Privacy Policy is written and maintained in Hebrew. This page is a plain-English summary, not a substitute for the full text.

We collect account information (email, hashed password, optional phone, date of birth), profile details (display name, age, gender, city, photos, bio, interests), group information, Discovery/Like/Match activity, chat and meetup-proposal content, and technical data needed to run and secure the service.

What we don't do today

As of this policy's publication: we don't process payment data, use targeted advertising, sell personal information, use ad pixels or identifiers, use external analytics tools, run AI-based matching or moderation, collect real-time GPS location, or offer private messaging between individuals from different groups. If any of this changes, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where required.

Verified status means only that an email or phone number was confirmed — never a government ID check, background check, or a promise about a user's safety or conduct.

Sharing: we don't sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data with service providers only to the extent needed to run Clanio, with staff on a need-to-know basis, and when legally required. Providers may store or process data outside Israel, subject to Israeli data-transfer rules.

Your rights: under Israeli law you may review, request correction of, or request deletion of your personal information, manage privacy settings in the app, and object to marketing communications (we don't currently send any). Contact privacy@clanio.co for anything not available directly in the app.

You can delete your account any time from account settings, or via the process described in our Account Deletion Policy.
